We’re excited to announce a Major Update to EventIDE, bringing powerful new capabilities, extended hardware support, and an array of improvements to your workflow. This release is packed with brand-new AddIns, enhanced analysis tools, user interface refinements, and important fixes to make your experience smoother and faster than ever.
New AddIns – Broader Hardware Integration
BrainFlow AddIn
Our new BrainFlow integration unlocks support for a wide range of bio-amplifiers, making EventIDE more versatile than ever for EEG, EMG, ECG, and other physiological signal recording. Supported devices now include:
OpenBCI Cyton, Cyton Daisy, Ganglion, Wi-Fi variants, BrainBit, Callibri, g.tec Unicorn Hybrid Black, Neurosity Crown, OYMotion gForcePro Armband, FreeEEG32, Muse (S, 2, 2016), ANT Neuro eego mylab, Enophone (ENO), BrainAlive Headset, Mentalab Explore (4ch, 8ch), EmotiBit, PiEEG — and more.
Noraxon AddIn
Seamless integration with Noraxon EMG recording devices, enabling high-quality muscle activity tracking directly in EventIDE.
Wooting AddIn
Adds low-latency keypress detection and RGB control for analog Wooting keyboards — perfect for precise reaction time studies and immersive experimental setups.
New and Enhanced Elements
Signal Writer Element – Now supports EDF+, EEGLAB .set, MATLAB .mat, and HDF5 output formats.
OpenBCI Signal Element – Reworked for better stability and performance in demanding recording sessions.
New Resources
Printable EventIDE Manual – A full, print-friendly manual is now available in the Help section via the application menu.
User Interface Improvements
Fresh ribbon button icons with color-coded action groups.
New Screens ribbon tab — combines Surface and Status Screen tabs for a cleaner workflow.
Data Report Viewer – Completely redesigned for easier navigation and data inspection.
Run History – Tag runs with short, editable notes, or pre-define them via the new Notelet property in the Experiment ribbon tab.
Display Settings – More informative monitor naming in multi-monitor setups.

Phase-locking AddIn – Greater Precision
Phase Locker Element
Updated terminology: “phase predictions” are now phase locks.
More precise, noise-resistant peak amplitude measurement.
Extended Prediction List with new Session Log statistics covering the entire signal.
Optimized for performance.
PhInsight App
Supports new Session Log files.
Can load and align hypnograms (or custom time series) with signal plots.
Enhanced GUI for faster analysis.
Fixes and Stability Improvements
Resolved crash when generating full factorial designs in Condition List.
Fixed video capture issues in Screencaster and eye-tracking elements in the overlay and GUI run modes.
Corrected stimulus screen cloning issues in overlay mode.
Improved stimulus window positioning in non-standard DPI scaling setups.
Fixed textboxes losing entered values after ribbon tab switch.
Eliminated incidental phase shift in high sampling rate signal plots.
This update represents a major step forward for EventIDE — with broader device compatibility, refined tools, and a smoother overall user experience.
