AI LabMate
In this article:
AI LabMate is an AI-powered assistant built directly into EventIDE. It helps you quickly find answers, understand features, and work more efficiently while designing and running your experiments.
As a built-in tool, AI LabMate is fully integrated into the EventIDE environment and always accessible when you need support.
How to Open AI LabMate
AI LabMate can be accessed from the “AI LabMate” button located in the top-right corner of the Ribbon Bar.
When clicked, AI LabMate opens in a separate window, allowing you to continue working in EventIDE while interacting with the assistant.

Starting a New Chat
At the top-left corner, you will find the button "Start a new chat here". Clicking this button creates a new conversation session. This is useful when:
You want to start a new topic
You want to keep different questions organized separately
You want a clean context for a new problem

Chat History
In the AI LabMate window, you will see a list of previous chats. Clicking on any chat expands it in the main window.
You can revisit past conversations at any time.
Each chat retains its previous messages for continuity.
When a human review reply becomes available (see below), the corresponding chat will be marked with a green indicator in the chat list.
Asking Questions
In the main chat window, you can:
Ask questions about EventIDE features
Request explanations
Get help with experiment setup
Clarify workflow steps
Explore functionality
After receiving a response, you can:
Copy the response
Like the response
Dislike the response
Your feedback helps improve AI LabMate over time.
Requesting Human Assistance

After AI LabMate provides a response, a button "Request human assistance" appears in the bottom-right corner of the chat window.
If you feel that:
The answer is unclear
The response is incomplete
The information may be incorrect
You need more detailed guidance
You can click this button to flag the conversation for review by a member of our team.

What happens next:
The chat is marked for human review.
A team member will examine the conversation.
Once the human reply is available, the chat will be marked with a green indicator in the chat list.
Beta Version Notice
AI LabMate is currently in beta version. While it is designed to assist with EventIDE-related questions, responses may sometimes be:
Incorrect
Incomplete
Outdated
Missing important context
For critical experiment configurations or technical decisions, always verify important information and request human assistance when needed.
Best Practices
To get the most accurate responses:
Ask clear, specific questions
Mention the relevant element or feature
Describe the issue or goal precisely
Use separate chats for unrelated topics
AI LabMate works best when provided with clear context.
AI LabMate is designed to make working in EventIDE faster, easier, and more intuitive. As we continue to improve it, your feedback and usage play an important role in shaping its development.
